Terms of Use
The short version: the rules are free forever, your hobby work is yours, our world is ours, and nobody should be a menace. The longer version is below, written to be actually readable.
Who we are
Thrackdown is made by Wargame Geeks ("we", "us"). These terms cover thrackdown.com and the tools on it. By using the site you agree to them. If something here worries you, open a channel and ask: we are small, human, and reachable.
The rules are free
The Thrackdown rules are free forever. You can download, print, copy, and share them for personal play: at home, at your club, at events. Print as many copies as your table needs.
What you can't do is sell them: no charging for the rules, bundling them into paid products, or republishing them as your own work. If you share them online, credit Thrackdown and link back here so people always find the current version.
Our stuff
The Thrackdown name and logo, the world of Nova Eden, the factions and their stories, the rules text, and this site's design and artwork belong to Wargame Geeks. The personal-use licence above is what we grant; anything beyond it (translations, apps, merch, products with our names on) needs our written go-ahead first. Ask. We like ambitious fans.
Your stuff
Your paint jobs, kitbashes, battle reports, terrain, photos, and Custom Factions are yours. Share them anywhere; credit is appreciated, never demanded. Just don't present fan work as official Thrackdown material, and don't use our name in a way that suggests we endorse something we haven't seen.
If you send us feedback, ideas, or playtest reports, you let us use them to make the game better without payment or paperwork. Credit where it's due is house policy: the changelog names what changed and why.
Other people's stuff
Thrackdown is miniature agnostic: play it with models from any maker, or with things you built yourself. All miniature ranges, game systems, and trademarks belong to their respective owners. We are affiliated with none of them, and no endorsement is implied in either direction.
The tools
The warband builder and other tools on this site are provided as-is during the Open Alpha. They may change, break, or reset between versions without warning. Export or print anything you can't bear to lose.
Be decent
Don't use the site for anything unlawful, don't try to break it, and don't scrape it to resell what's freely given. The Discord has its own rules on top of these; they amount to the same thing: be someone people want at the table.
The legal armour
The site and rules are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for losses arising from your use of the site or the game. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Changes
We may update these terms as the game grows. The date below always tells you when they last moved; meaningful changes get a mention in the news.
